The person in this role will maintain established security policies and procedures that will protect SS&E, the AT&T Center, our assets, employees, and guests.  They will control access into the AT&T Center, properties and its secured areas. Additionally, the Building Security Lead II patrols the facilities, paying special attention to activities or situations that may breach security or pose a safety hazard.   Successful candidates will possess the ability to respond to alarms and emergency situations, which may require an immediate decision to maintain a safe and secure environment. This is a full-time, regular position that pays at $13.25 an hour. 



In every position, each employee is expected to: demonstrate alignment with SS&E’s core values and mission, collaborate with internal/external family members and demonstrate ongoing development.


  1. Controls access to restricted areas (i.e. event level, receiving dock, locker rooms, and other sensitive areas). Monitors the alarm system and surveillance cameras in and around the AT&T Center and grounds. Monitors, patrols and responds to alarms/emergency situations inside/outside the AT&T Center and grounds. Provides quick, professional and effective response in security and safety related situations.
  2. Responsible to the Security Manager for the facilities readiness condition, ability to support events, and day-to-day operations. Assists in carrying out emergency procedures, including life safety and fire safety, responding to emergency calls and coordinating with outside resources based on the standard AT&T Center security protocols.
  3. Completes effective communication, both verbally and written where appropriate, in situations where circumstances where relaying factual documentation is required. Provides information and direction to inquiries in a positive and friendly manner. Provides recognition in support of company initiatives.
  4. Prepares accident reports, incident reports and daily journals, documenting situations or other unusual events that occur during the normal day. Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with good industry practices and safety regulations.
  5. Consistently provide assistance and direction in the preparation of all events, by way of coordination between staff, potential clients, and promoters as needed for the successful presentation of events.

  6. Oversees part-time security guard staff operations, to ensure performance consistency. Delegates responsibilities to subordinates with full recognition that overall accountability is attained and ensures that supervised personnel perform on their own initiative and without prior approval as described in their job description.



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years supervisory, management and/or leadership experience
  • 3+ years experience in the field of security
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a State Security license
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
  • Must have knowledge in the field of alarms, CCTV and security control systems
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a working knowledge of computer programs and software, such as Microsoft Suite
  • Flexible availability to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, overnight and holidays
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions
  • Must possess the ability to meet dress standards. As a representative of Spurs Sports & Entertainment, dress standards are highly reflective of our brand
